Light (Part 1)

Two weeks back, when the sun was still out during the mornings, I took several shots of the stained glass at Holy Family as it was too beautiful not to capture it to share. The colourful images cast on the wall looked familiar yet different. The only explanation I immediately thought of was that the light travelling from the sun through the glass and onto the wall runs parallel to the ground. This happens only around 7am. Most of the parishioners here would have only experienced light projected downwards at an angle from a higher elevation, because of the Sunday mass time slots. Since you're stopping by my blog, enjoy the light!

Some of us may be familiar with this sight.

Look at the light projected on the wall... from a different angle.

The projected image appears clear and sharp - a good reminder of how I should reflect my Creator's Light.

The light reflected off the glass panel together with its original source forms an image of a butterfly.

bravo! I think you have captured a simple mystical experience which many would miss entirely... ;-)

It was just Fr Chris and I left that day basking in the Sanctuary of Light.
