The Next Chapter...

For those who have enquired, I briefly mentioned that I will be instructing English to non-English speaking students in central Vietnam in a region called Hue*. But just dwelling on it, I get the feeling that this place will have so much more to offer me than what I have to give – the lesson on contentment in life being the main one.

I have given myself, in the last few weeks, time to think about the trip and that is why I am back here in Singapore, geared up and ready to go.

I may not be the best candidate or the most qualified for the task, but with a manual in one hand and wacky ideas in the other, it might transpire creative learning. I hope that these 80-odd sisters at the convent know the meaning of corny, otherwise they might have to learn it the painful way... ;p

Like they always say, "Where there's a will, there's a Hue."

If you have ideas on teaching the English language, do join me on my journey by sending your ideas and concepts! For now, you can keep me in your prayers!

Dear Father, thank you for Your grace and the opportunity to learn!

Hue* - pronounced as "huey".

You're going to teach English? That's great. I just got back from Indonesia and I felt sad seeing how some of the children could not even go to school; much less learn English. I think loads of pictures will be great to help your future students learn English. If you need ideas, we could talk. Knowing that my ideas could help poor kids learn English feels really fulfilling for me.

I had a different experience during my last 2 mission outreach in Indonesia. I was happy seeing the children and how they lived. They taught me simplicity and contentment in life. I learned so much from their richness! TTYS! Thanks!
