CIV

On May 25, 1977, Star Wars was first screened in 32 movie houses in Los Angeles, one of which included the iconic Grauman's Chinese Theatre. L.A. is all geared up to celebrate 30 years of Star Wars: commemorative items, parties, US Postal Services launches Star Wars stamps and R2 mailboxes and the LA Convention holds a 5-day fan event!

Alf checks out Celebration IV on Friday May 25th, at the L.A. Convention Centre.
Join me soon for updates.

These prints were made exactly 30 years ago in front of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

USPS R2-mailbox situated at the cross of Hollywood and Highland.

Lovely pix... lovelier memories...

I can almost remember when my dad brought me to watch SW. Can't remember which one. Must be EpV coz there was a Yoda toy being sold right outside the theatre, in the lobby. There were a few glass table display shelves set up. Did buy character cards for Han and Leia. Don't remember the show so much as i remember going with my dad... just the 2 of us...
